Oral surgery. Again, it depends on the patient. We offer them a referral to specialists that are excellent at what they do. If they're more comfortable in a specialty setting, certainly we're going to offer them choices, and if they're more comfortable in our skills inside the practice, are a match, and the patients would like to stay here, we will do minor surgical procedures. Taking care of the patients, we're very serious about that. If the patient can't be treated by us, we are very careful about making sure that they get to the correct specialist in the optimum amount of time, and we have good working relationships with our specialists that will always be there when the patient needs it instead of being out there a little bit further in time than what they would like to see. Many things we can do ourselves as a transitional step to a specialist, if not comprehensive, but then our specialists are excellent at responding to things that absolutely need to be seen.
In addition to our experienced dentist, you’ll benefit from:
- Socket grafts to help maintain healthy bone in your jaw
- Advanced technology like digital X-rays for fast and accurate diagnoses, and to help us better plan your treatment
- Same-day care for many dental emergencies
- Dental sedation to help you relax
- A compassionate team who knows how to keep you comfortable throughout your treatment

Your Extraction Will Go Well, From Start to Finish
Dr. Kollar can perform most tooth extractions, including many wisdom teeth procedures. He’ll assess your condition using high-tech tools like digital X-rays and intraoral cameras to determine whether tooth removal is necessary and to carefully plan your procedure. During the extraction, we’ll use effective local anesthesia to ensure you don’t feel any pain. We’ll also provide pillows and TV to help keep you comfortable. If you need dental sedation, you’ll be able to choose from two safe methods.
Following your extraction, Dr. Kollar will likely perform a socket graft procedure to help prevent the bone loss that typically occurs after an extraction. It’s simple and painless; he’ll simply place material designed to spur bone growth into your socket and seal it with a membrane. A socket graft is always a good idea after an extraction, but it’s especially important if you plan to get a dental implant.
