It’s possible to reimplant teeth that have been knocked out, especially if you can get to our office within 30 minutes. Be sure to handle the tooth only by the crown (white part), not by its roots. If you can, put the tooth back in its socket immediately. Gently bite down on gauze or a wet tea bag to keep it in place. It’s best to use saliva or milk for storage if you need to transport it in a container. Consider buying a “Save-A-Tooth” storage container, which can be purchased at many drugstores, and keeping it as part of a first aid kit.
